Big Thanks To
Mac Mouse Club for letting me test their Dual 1GHz Power Mac
and to
Honolulu CompUSA for letting me test their iMac G4 and G4/800 Power Mac

CONCLUDING THOUGHTS AND TEST NOTES
The Dual G4/1000 is the fastest. But as long as the refurbished Dual G4/800's are available for $2K, they give the best bang for the buck. (And notice how well the Dual G4/533 did against the "solo" G4/933.)

The Power Macs are lagging way behind on memory bus speed and hard drive interface speed compared to the Pentium 4 and Athlon XP systems. It's time for a major overhaul of the motherboard. What we're seeing is a speed bump to keep us interested until the G5 Power Macs arrive.

SUPPORT MY SPONSORS
If you are in Honolulu, go visit my buddies Rolf and Mike at the
Mac Mouse Club who let me test their Dual 1000. Also, wherever you live, go visit your local CompUSA because they have been kind enough to let me test their demo iMac G4/800 and Power Mac G4/800.

If you like to order your Power Mac online, visit Small Dog Electronics. They will even do build-to-order if you want the GeForce4 Titanium card.

And YOU can be a BARE FEATS sponsor by making a PayPal Donation to rob-art@barefeats.com.
